HydroCAN
A free Windows app for Canadian streamflow and climate stations. Find stations on a map, pull recent and historical records, and export CSVs with the source info still attached.

Data access
Find and retrieve Canadian hydrometric records.
HydroCAN brings Water Survey of Canada and ECCC records into one desktop workspace. Find a station, review its history, and keep the source information with your export.
Stations in view
Search nationally, then narrow by province, status, or real-time availability.
Ways to retrieve
Start online with GeoMet or add the HYDAT archive for fast local history.
Traceable record
Units, quality flags, provisional status, and attribution stay attached.
Workflow
From station search to documented export.
Map first. Inspect the station. Retrieve what matters. Export a record another person can verify.
Locate
Clustered national map, province filters, and station search.
Inspect
Coverage dates, identifiers, status, and watershed context.
Retrieve
Daily means, annual peaks, statistics, discharge, and water level.
Export
CSV plus a JSON sidecar with source, checksum, and app version.
